Flashback friday… Did this shoot a couple years ago. When my entertainment photography professor assigned us a shoot based off a narrative story or a common concept I knew exactly what I wanted to do. For years Ive admired Tim Burton, his dark romantic stories were always very interesting to me. Also growing up in a very spanish influence community, it was custom to celebrate Dia de los Muertos. I loved to watch and be apart of the parade of people painted and wearing beautiful costumes. Fascinated by the colors, music, skulls, romance and dark happiness. This photography series is a sandwich of both. I wanted each photo to stand on its own but also be able to tell the story of love, till the end. :)
